A reflective moment from our Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Charlene M. Jamison

In life, the pursuit of dreams is a journey that requires careful thought, meticulous planning, and diligent execution. However, to achieve true success, it is essential to involve God in every step of the process. This principle is beautifully encapsulated in the Bible, particularly in Proverbs 3:5-6 and Joshua 1:9 (KJV).

Proverbs 3:5-6 states, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." This passage emphasizes the importance of placing our trust in God rather than relying solely on our own wisdom. When we acknowledge God in all our endeavors, He promises to guide us and make our paths straight. This divine guidance is crucial because our human understanding is limited, and we may not always see the bigger picture. By involving God in our plans, we open ourselves to His infinite wisdom and direction, ensuring that our efforts are aligned with His will.

Similarly, Joshua 1:9 offers encouragement and reassurance: "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." This verse reminds us that God is always with us, providing strength and courage as we pursue our dreams. It is a powerful reminder that we are never alone in our journey. With God by our side, we can face challenges with confidence, knowing that He will support and sustain us.

To achieve good success, it is important to think carefully about our goals and aspirations. This involves introspection and understanding our true desires. Once we have a clear vision, we must plan meticulously, considering all aspects and potential obstacles. Execution is the next critical step, requiring dedication, hard work, and perseverance.

However, the key to true success lies in involving God in every step. By seeking His guidance, trusting in His wisdom, and relying on His strength, we can navigate the complexities of life with confidence and assurance. When we align our plans with God's will, we not only achieve our dreams but also experience a deeper sense of fulfillment and purpose. Thus, thinking, planning, and executing our dreams with God at the center is the pathway to good success.

Remember, Habakkuk 2:2, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Think. Plan. Execute.
