CONFESSIONS ON FINANCES

Here are some confessions on finances, based on scriptures for every day to help you operate in the promises of God:

 

"God's Word provides me with insight to His will regarding my finances. I am above and not beneath. I am a lender and not a borrower. I have the power and authority of the throne room of God to not operate in poverty, but to operate in health and wealth. I delight myself in the law of the Lord and I will always have my needs met by the promises of God. No longer will I have a dry season, but a season that is filled with overflow."

Truth is money can be a stressful part of life, especially when you don't have it. The anxiety of providing for your family by having enough to pay the bills. It is important that we remember to first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all will be added that is needed. Additionally, it is wise to not have a greedy obsession with money, putting a love of money before your love for God. Hebrews 13:5 tells us, "Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The mindset of trusting the Almighty God, through His son Jesus Christ with your finances may not be a new one. We want you to know that the Word of God should be your first place in finding out what it really means to trust in the Lord and surrender your financial decisions to Him and His ways. Here are 5 points to help lead you into all truth:
 

You Can Trust In The Lord In All Areas of Your Life—Including Finances

• Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. –John 15:4-5
   

God Will Take Care of You and Your Finances

• So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. –Matthew 6:31-33

• Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. –1 Timothy 6:17
   

When You Trust and Obey The Word of The Lord, There Is Freedom Each Time 

• If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God: Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. –Deuteronomy 28:1-6 (Read the entire chapter.)

• And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you. –Galatians 3:29
   

A Promise to Stand on for Your Prosperity

• That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.” –1 Corinthians 2:9-10

 

The Almighty God wants to be as involved with your financial life as He is with your spiritual. Let these scriptures be catalyst to point you into a deeper study into God’s Word. As you discover God’s heart and love for you, may you trust Him with every area of life—even your finances!

POWER OVER DEBT

We must always remember that God is always on your side. it is written, Hebrews 13:5, "...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." God is on your side as you are petitioning for your healing. He’s on your side as you are petitioning for a loved one’s salvation. And He’s on your side as you are petitioning for wisdom, knowledge and victory against debt.

The Word of God provides you with insight to His will regarding your finances. Read these scriptures and speak them over your finances. Allow these words to be a part of your spirit until they become manifested in the natural. 

 

• So don’t worry about these things, saying, "What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?" These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:31-33

• And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

• Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. Romans 13:8

• Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Proverbs 3:9

• Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” Malachi 3:10

• You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. 2 Corinthians 9:7

• Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38

• I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, "May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea," and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. Mark 11:23

• So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9

• And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? Luke 16:11
   

• Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly. Proverbs 13:22
   

• The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get. Proverbs 21:20
